She worked in that position until joining the University of Minnesota.
What you need to know about Lainey Brottem Lainey is a native Minnesotan who decided to explore Colorado on downhill skis for a season, which turned into 25 years before she was finally drawn back to the Land of 10,000 Lakes. When she was five, her parents put golf clubs in her hands in the summer, and skis on her feet in the winter, so she would have two lifelong sports. And they were right, because she's still doing both. Lainey's greatest passion (and therefore best thing, probably) is writing and the written word, but she also loves to play pickup basketball as many days a week as she can, even if she isn't as quick as she once was and occasionally gets burned on that first step. In the evening, you might find her in a microbrewery trying a good oatmeal stout and watching a game, or in a restaurant sipping a glass of fine red wine while reading classic literature. Lainey has two sons, one attending Vassar College and another who plans to attend the University of Minnesota starting in Fall of 2017.
